For years we have fabricated custom plastic articulated AFOs (L1970).
Often the AFO will have dorsiflex assist ankle joints utilizing Tamarack
joints (L2210 x 2). We normally add a plantarflexion stop and do
not charge for the stop.
I have been told both at the ABC coding seminar and by other
practitioners that we can use the code L2200---limited motion
ankle---for the stop.
What does your practice do? Can the code L2200 be used for the stop?
Even the big box stores can reply.
In advance-thanks,
Gordon Bass CPO
