Dear Prosthetist

I am a student design engineer working on a placement for the Bath Institute of Medical Engineering. I have an interest in prosthetics and am trying to establish what peoples' views are on the current situation regarding user adjustable heel devices.

Please take a moment to consider the following questions and any feedback you could give me in response before Friday 12th of October 2007 would be greatly received.

Do you believe there is an existing need for an alternative modular heel height device?

What features do you think users/clinicians require from such a component?

Roughly what sort of percentage of patients do you think could benefit from an adjustable ankle?

What sort of price band would you consider appropriate? £100-250, £250-400, £400-550, >£550

Many thanks,
