Thanks to all who replied. I will check out the companies provided and examine possibility of better in-house fabrication. Original post provided first.
Hello Everyone,
I would like replies from those of you who have your custom foot orthoses central fabricated. I am currently not satisfied with the foot orthoses I am receiving. I would like to know who you use and why. I currently supply patients with all forms of custom foot orthoses (rigid, diabetic, accommodative, functional, etc).
I will post replies for those of you who may be interested in the responses.
Thanks in Advance,
Stephen L. Epperly, CO, C.Ped., ATC
RESPONSES
─We fabricate our own foot orthoses
─I have been in the business for 20+ years and have recently gone to a company by the name of Hersco. They do an incredible job, are reliable and will pretty much give you what you want. They have a website, search under hersco/ foot orthotics.
─Our company uses a company called Fabtech based out of Mukilteo Washington for all of our C-fab needs.
─Try Paul Jackovitch with Orthostabilities.
-Have had recent success with PAL Health....great customer service & turnaround.
─sorry to be of no help, but my life rule number 4 says: wonna have things done right, do them yourself.
─ We do your products all in house now. I don't know if that is possible in your situation but I wish you luck.
─For diabetics, I am using SureFit out of Florida.
─I started doing the rigids myself. From time to time, the trilams I still use the lab because they do better than I can, however very expensive.
─Several years ago I used Scott Orthotic Labs in Colorado. Pretty good results. BraceMasters in Milwaukee also do very good work, but they are VERY pricy for inserts. APEX and UCO industries also do well. I think APEX is a better value for the price. For the past several years we have been making our own, and we just added AMFIT to our arsenal.
─I use footlogic in (Union?), Ohio. good prices, good product.
─I make my own Diabetic FO and I use STJ, Corona Ca for my FFo,
─I use ACOR's custom diabetic inserts when a custom shoe is required. For TMAs I make the insert/filler in-house. I do not do custom function FO's due to lack of or insufficient ins coverage.
─I use yanke bionics out of ohio (roger marzzaon) and M-tech labs in Indianapolis. Indiana - both supply high quality
─We fabricate our own foot orthoses
