Dear List,
I wanted to give you and update on by progress as I cycle across America and around the world. Leaving DC, I cycled to Atlanta and the ACA annual convention. From there I was flown by the Larry King Live show to film a segment on a show about myself and other that go beyond the accepted limits despite a disability. The show will air on July 27th on CNN. Since that time I have cycled some 500 miles across GA, TN. and KY. It has been an exciting trek filled with adventures so far. From cutting down my trim lines on my socket with a Swiss army knife, to being stalked by a mountain lion as I cycled Lookout Mountain TN, every day poses it unique challenges and opportunity to show that life does go one after limb loss.
I would like to extend the opportunity to visit any OandP office big or small as I am on my trek. My route across America is posted on my website www.abilitytrek.org I am flexible to altering the route slightly to help facilitate any visitations that practitioners feel would benefit their patients. You can schedule a visit with my project manager Julia Farley at <Email Address Redacted>
I look forward to hearing from you all and have a happy and safe holiday!
