Text:

When are we going to wake up, when are our national organizations going to
realize that we are not DME and do something about it. It was not that long
ago
when we were not part of the DME, HME classification. We use our monies
from
dues and donations to fight many different battles, however this battle
about DME is the biggest. Until we win the battle against being considered
DME
we will be considered salespeople by the government, insurance companies,
and
other allied health professionals. I no longer practice as a CPO, but I feel
I
have given my children bad advise by bringing them into this field to
take
over at a time when we, as an industry are in the worst position as a
profession since the early 1970's when I entered the field.
Please encourage our national organizations to pool almost all of it's
resources to getting P & O reclassified as allied health Professionals, if
not
there won't be much more to this field then being sales people.
Respectfully;
Jan Saunders CPO, LPO
