Questions to the list:

1) Is this practice of fitting various types of prosthetic sockets to patients immediately after amputation surgery still going on?

2) If so, who is requesting it, what type of surgeon?

3) What age group of patient is this being requested for?

4) What is the patient weight range that is being fit immediately in this way?
(what is the highest patient weight?)

5) Are early fittings a more common approach today instead of immediate fittings?

I would really appreciate your time involved in responding!
Respectfully,
