Dear List,
This is a follow up on the sudden death of my friend and colleague Charles
F. Moore CP. It was reported to me by his wife Florence that Charles died in
his sleep on Mon. 5/29/07.
Charles had worked for Hanger Orthopedic for many years in the Birmingham
area, and had become a manager for them before starting his own one man
practice in Opelika, Al. he reported to me not long that the long hours and hard
work he was putting in was paying off, I know he will be missed in that
community for all that he did.
Charles was very proud to be one of the founding members of the
International African American Orthotic Prosthetic Coalition, (IAAPOC) which was founded
in 1991 to provide mentoring and scholarships for other African Americans
attempting to join the field, he served as Vice President of the organization
and Chairman of our scholarship committee. Charles was very proud of the
scholarship committee and did everything in his power to see it succeed.
Charles viewing will be on Thursday 5/31/ 07 6:00 to 8:00
At Currie Jefferson Funeral Home
