Hello All,

I'm currently working with an individual who's undergone a hemipelvectomy
amputation, trying to build a leveling device that would permit him to sit
in any type chair. We haven't reached the point of discussing a prosthesis
at all, just being able to sit level in an office chair, wheelchair, car
etc.

While this wouldn't be the easiest thing normally, he has 2 ostomies that
complicate things greatly. I was wondering if anyone has experience with a
situation such as this and can give me some pointers on how to accommodate
these and still hold the device on. He also has a couple of bony
prominences where part of his sacrum was removed. Currently, I'm trying
modified sports compression short with cut outs for the stomas and an
aliplast build up sewn into a pocket on the affected side. So far this
seems to be working but he hasn't had it that long.

If anyone has had success with anything, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.
