My patient has right thoracic and left lumber scoliosis. She was unsuccessfully treated in an orthosis.

She recently had instrumentation to L2. She now is poorly conpensated to the left with no ability to right herself but can be manually shifted to adequate correction. The surgeon wants her to wear a TLSO at night. When she stands in the orthosis it tilts and is ineffective in maintaining alignment. I used a basic low profile design with left lumbar pad. I have tried in several other similar cases with the same surgeon to provide a post op TLSO.

Has anyone else successfully braced similar patients?

Has anyone tried one of the new 'trunk shift orthoses in a similar case?

I can e-mail a copy of an x-ray if you are interested in helping.
