Hi All
I am looking for ideas on taking the perfect negative AFO casts.
I am principally concerned with accuracy in reproduction of shape and contour and good clean finish. I am not enqiring about technique for pachieving particular positions or alignments (unless they aid the above).
I currently pull a dry thin tubular bandage to the leg with a narrow polyethylene strip down the dorsum to cut against.
The bandage is applied over this without too much tension and the plaster massaged to ensure good penetration of the liquid for the inner surface.
The problems I suffer at times are some delamination and some roping, sometimes at critcal points.
Your suggestions welcome
