I have completed a check socket and suspension for a 7 year old boy with a forequarter amputation secondary to bone cancer in the shoulder. I am looking for componentry that will accomodate a young boy for a cosmetic arm at the present time. He has excellent strength and will be able to accept this prosthesis. We will investigate the possibilities of a hybrid prosthesis later on.There seems to be limited availability of shoulder joints for youngsters. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Julie Schick of Otto Bock was extremely helpful in doing a web cam conference on this patient.
