Text:

I would very much like to ask the organizers of the various O&P
meetings in the USA some questions regarding the manner in which they
locate and compensate the speakers in their programs. I am
especially interested in the meetings organized by other small groups
such as state associations but welcome responses from all
quarters. I will summarize all responses without attribution to the
source and send the summary to those who have responded.

How many individuals do you have paying registration for a typical
meeting, not counting exhibitors?

Do you compensate your speakers?

If yes, in what manner and at what rate?

Do you cover any expenses for speakers who respond to a call for papers?

Do you charge to present a workshop?

Do you find the restrictions regarding meeting postings on oandp-l to
be a problem?

Do you feel I should post these responses to oandp-l?

Thank you very much for you time in responding!
