I just wanted to remind folks that if they have any questions on the national parity campaign that the ACA is working on, we would love to hear from you.
You can also find updates and resources at: <URL Redacted>.
In our minds, parity bills are focused on patients getting the care they need. It is not realistic to think that one bill is going to solve all of the complications and bureaucracy of reimbursements, but at the end of the day, states with these laws should be able to use the system to get their patients the care they need.
Thanks to those who are working on parity in their state!
Sincerely,
Morgan Sheets
P.S. There are currently 22 states in play, including GA. GA is at the beginning of their parity campaign.

Subject: [OANDP-L] parity
What are everyones thoughts on parity? We don't have a parity bill in Georgia and I was wondering what the results were in other states that have passed it. Can any practitioner in California, Maine, Colorado, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, or New Hamphire give their thoughts on parity and the benefits or potential drawbacks you have witnessed since passage? It looks like the states may save money by increasing coverage but the laws don't seem to increase reimbursement or reduce problems in billing for the private o&p facilities.
