Text:
US Colleagues:
As further follow up to the responses I received regarding my original post
on the subject of CMS Regulations Regarding Electric Powered Wheelchairs For
Amputees, below you will find several links to CMS web site information and
regulations regarding the provision of non-powered and powered mobility
devices. It is information you may find helpful to know and be aware of regarding
the above subject, as well as assist in appropriately documenting the need
of an individual you may be providing prosthetic and/or orthotic care.
You will need to copy the URL Links provided and paste them into your web
browsers, as OANDP-L does not allow the use hyperlinks within its postings to
protect from the potential of transmitting Internet viruses. Copy and Paste
each URL Link in its entirety, as some are rather long.
I would suggest printing the information out for reading and sharing with
your staff colleagues and administrative staff.
If anyone is aware of CMS information or regulations more specific to this
subject than provided below, please pass it along to the List.
I trust you find this additional information helpful on this subject.
