The Alabama Prosthetic and Orthotic Association and Alabama State Board of
Prosthetics and Orthotics will be utilizing e-mail newsletters beginning in
March and other e-mail communication for legislative efforts. They will also
be able to keep up with other upcoming activities such as ASBPO board
meetings and APOA educational seminars. We would like to get as many e-mails
addresses of licensed P&O members and now c-peds in the state as possible.
If they would like to be on the mailing list, go to alabamapoa.org and click
on the join the APOA mailing list.
We are also about to mail out licensure forms for Ped-orthists in Alabama.
We have contacted ABC but realize that there are some practicing pedorthists
that will want to be grand fathered in that might not be certified but have
been practicing for 5 or more years. If you are a c-ped in Alabama or have
been practicing pedorthists for a number of years, please fax your
information to Carol Lee, administrative assistant for the Alabama State
Board of Prosthetists and Orthotists, at 334-265-1281.
