BILATERAL BELOW ELBOW AMPUTEE
We have recently been presented with a 13 yo bi-lateral below elbow
amputee who experienced limb loss 10 years ago. The issue this young man
is experiencing is that to date no one has addressed this issue of self
toileting. This patient requires the aid of another person for cleansing
after toileting. How humiliating! We have not had any experience with
this issue in the past, is there ANYONE out there who could offer some
suggestions on any aids or techniques that may help this young man. THIS
YOUNG MAN IS A QUADRALATERAL AMPUTEE, BILAT BELOW ELBOW & BILAT BELOW
KNEE AND IS RECEIVING OT. Please forgive the omission in yesterday's
post and thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
