Dear List,
General guidelines as per Atlas of Amputations and Limb Deficiences state
that a patient may be fitted with a myoelectric design prosthesis at a very
early age. This child currently has a body powered prosthesis and myo
testing confirmed adequate signal strength. I need your help in directing me
to studies/publications etc that would clearly state the benefits of early
myo fittings, if such studies exist. In contrary, if you know of any studies
that prove otherwise, please direct me to them as well.
Sincerely,
Stephan
