Dear List,

I am looking for options, recommendations, and past experience in dealing
with the following type of patient.

An active 60+ year old male with severe DJD in one knee with normal ROM and
muscle strength. Additionally he suffered burns from ankle to the top of
his thigh as a child and has scaring with thin and very sensitive skin on
all surfaces - medial, lateral, posterior, and anterior. This patient is
fully ambulatory and independent, walks without assistive devices and
typically active for a healthy 60+ year old male.

The problem is that he normally has skin breakdown wearing anything between
the top of his thigh and the top of his ankle.

Thank you for your ideas and input. I will post a summary of responses with
names deleted unless you ask me to keep your entire response out of the
summary.

Thank You,

Brett R. Saunders, CPO.
