Hi all,

Does anyone know of any studies or research that has been done on the refit
frequency and component durability of a bilateral amputee compared to a
unilateral amputee?

What I want to know is;
1. If prosthetic components last as long on a bilateral amputee as on
a unilateral amputee?
2. Are more external forces and pressures applied to prosthetic
components of bilateral amputees, and
3. Is it common practice that a bilateral amputee should be refitted
more frequent than a unilateral amputee?

All replies will be listed

Thank you
