I'm looking for ideas for a prosthetic patient of mine with a compromised
foot on the contralateral leg. Due to an accident, he had skin grafts place
along the plantar surface of his one foot while they amputated the other leg
below the knee. He's been told he's got a bone protruding under the
calcaneus and it often irritates his very senstive skin under the heel due
to the integrity of the skin graft. It's not like a normal fat pad under
the heel.

I'm looking for suggestions to accomodate this foot. It's relatively normal
in shape and size otherwise, but the skin grafting has caused him occasional
breakdown and infections. He's also recently diagnosed as diabetic.
