Hello colleagues,
I have a client who wears a PFFD prosthesis. Because of his limited knee flexion (ankle dorsiflextion) and the bulk of his prosthesis (he is 6' 210lb.) he currently must disconnect the distal length of his prosthesis from the socket whenever he uses a vehicle, either as driver or passenger. Presently he has the Ferrier coupler installed but he is finding the frequency of connecting / disconnecting the screw-in pin tiresome. My question is, is anyone aware of a quick disconnect mechanism that is less cumbersome to remove / install? Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Markus Saufferer, C.P.(c)
