Hello all
I have a BK patient wearing an Alps 6mm locking liner, suction socket with
endolite elite foot. He is complaining of pain and swellling in the area of
the fibula after a round of 18 holes or hiking on uneven ground. Alignment
and fit of socket appears adequate. We have ground out in the area of the
fibula with some relief, the patient can use the treadmill now but he still
has the swelling after golfing. Redness, chaffing has not been noted. The
patient and I wonder if it is an alignment problem. Any one with any
experience with golfing amputees or any ideas please let me know and I will
post the responses. Thank you, Paula Martinek, LPO
