As promised I have compiled and enclose the results of my question earlier
this week about P&O software. My thanks to all who responded.
We are currently using Opie-lite and plan to purchase Opie soon. Easy to
use and addresses specific problems found in the O&P facility and personal
experiences of Paul. They are also making changes to the software based on
practitioner feedback.
We have used MedFlex for the past five years and couldn't be happier with
the product or the service.
I've been using Futura for almost 4 years now and I really like it.........
I wish the report printing format feature was clearer, but its workable.
The Tech Support is great as well.............
The learning curve for OPIE is very short and the support is exceptional.
Although we use Med-Flex for claim submission and accounts receivable, I
cannot comment on the clinical aspect because we simply do not use it.
Med-Flex's support has always been very good and timely.
I used Futura before but due to lack of support I changed to Medflex. I get
a little better support from them but it is easier to manage.
I have been an OandP tech for five years and have been able to work with the
OPIE system. I have not had any experience with the other systems you speak
of. I belive that they are designed for billing purposes only, while OPIE is
a complete O and P system. From the start of using OPIE, from a techs point
of view, fabrication was much easier. I needed less face time wiht the
practiotiners because all of thier notes and fab instructions were avalible
from any room at any time. It made my job much easier. email with any
specific questions regarding OPIE.
I have been an Opie customer for 2 years and it has been a wonderful
experience. Opie has continued to be developed during this entire process
and each time they roll out a new uprgrade it is better and better. We have
never had a negative experience. The staff at Opie is tremendous and very
approachable with even the smallest question or concern. Steve is great and
will answer every question thoroughly to make sure you understand. Also by
the way, they do things above and beyond like uploading my important files
for me last year when it looked like Hurricane Rita was coming up the I45
corridor to pay Houston a visit. I highly and enthusiastically recommend
Opie to any company (large or small). It is very easy to use and provides a
comprehensive way to manage your office from purchasing to daily notes.
Paul is rolling out the billing component this month and we are expecting
great things from it as well. One thing..I have heard comments in the past
from friends how d ifficult the process gets when another vendor releases an
upgrade.
With Opie we have never experienced difficulty after getting an upgrade.
The service fee is minimal and the cost to purchase the system was well
worth the investment.
I read your recent posting on the O and P list server and thought you might
also want to know about OandPSoftware.com also.
In 2002, OandPSoftware.com released quickPAS billing and collections
software designed specifically for the O and P Industry.
We customize quickPAS for every client. We have created different
screens, fields, and reports for almost every client. We will modify
quickPAS to meet your business needs, instead of making you to change your
office procedures. When we make changes, we ask other clients if they like
the idea. If so, we give them the changes, otherwise they never see the
change.
QuickPAS runs on our servers. We will not require you to upgrade your
computers or get a server. You will receive new versions of QuickPAS
without having to do updates or installations on your PC.
The installation takes 10 minutes or less in most cases.
QuickPAS was designed with multiple offices in mind. Your employees are
able to work from any office and from home.
We make it easier to be HIPAA compliant. We do nightly backups with
monthly archives. We have emergency and disaster recovery plans in place.
Since QuickPAS is on our servers, we have the ability to shadow your
session. This means we can see and interact with your screen while you ask
questions. This is a huge benefit during training and support.
We do as much work as we can for you. When new fee schedules are
released, we update the system for you, instead of making you enter the data
manually. The same is true for procedure codes and diagnosis codes. We
also assist in filling out paperwork for electronic billing.
You asked specifically about ease of learning and after sales support.
QuickPAS is 100% windows based, designed with products from Microsoft. Our
goal was to make it as much like Excel and Word as possible. Also, if
something is not intuitive, then we can modify quickPAS to make it fit your
needs. The majority of our support calls are resolved the same business
day, depending on the time of the call. Since the software is on our
servers, we can make changes, and the only action you have to take to see
the change is to log out, and log back in.
We would love to give you a free trial.
