My understanding is that traditionally amputees have been told not to shave there legs because of increased risk of infection/folliculitis as a result of the closed system of a prosthesis. I was just wondering if this is still current practice or if clinicians are straying away from this tradition. Does cause of amputation of any other factor sway you one way or another?
