The Barr Foundation would like to honor Gregory Kidder LPO(Florida Licensed
Prosthetist and Orthotist) FAOP member, whom recently passed away in Crystal
River, Florida.
Greg was a multiple patient Barr Foundation sponsor in assisting amputees
receive prosthetic rehabilitation whom otherwise did not have the financial
resources.
He strongly supported and advocated for licensure in 1995.
As a avid diver he also filmed and produced a underwater video of his
patients swimming with manatees in Crystal River.
The Barr Foundation provides their deepest condolences to Greg's family,
friends and patients.
Greg will be missed and appreciated for his contributions to his profession
and patients.
Each week we send a post and similar salute to a person or Hope Donor whom
has made a great difference in a life.

Gregory Kidder, 51
Crystal River
Gregory L. Kidder, 51, Crystal River, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006.
He was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., and raised in Knoxville, Tenn. He moved
to Cry-stal River in 1991 and open-ed Kidder Orthopedic.
He was Methodist.
Mr. Kidder was a licensed Prosthetist-Orthotist. He attended Northwestern
Uni-versity Medical School, University of Minnesota Medical School,
University of Tennessee Medical School and the Chattanooga State Technical
Institute.
Mr. Kidder was member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists
from 1984 until present. He was also a member of the Florida Academy of
Prosthetists.
He was a Rotarian in the Crystal River Rotary Club.
His hobbies included, boating, fishing and diving.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Kidder, in 2004, and his
father, Thomas Kidder in 1974.
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Julie Ann Kidder.
Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River.

51, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at the Casa Rio
Condominium Clubhouse at Northwest 14th Place, behind Crackers. In lieu of
flowers, those who wish to make a memorial contribution, please make payable
to the Kings Bay Rotary Club, P.O. Box 27, Crystal River, FL 34423.
