I have a patient that we are currently in our 3rd socket and each socket has to be split sagittaly in order to accommodate a bulbous distal limb. The are in a pin system with liner. We have a circumferential plastic wrap with an over the center ski boot buckle. This works okay but is bulky and at times difficult to close and i also worry about liability. We are looking for alternatives for accommodating the larger distal segment.
I would appreciate your input.
