I had many good responses to my question regarding alternatives to Coe Tray Plastic for bonding wood or foam blocks to check sockets. Thanks to everyone who responded. Here is a summary:
1. polyester or acrylic resin with solka floc OR Seigelharz and solka floc. These still seem to be the most popular choices.
2.Bondo from auto parts store.
3. Tuf-fil from Freeman Supply. This is apparently a pre-mixed material. Check out at www.freemansupply.com/Tuffil.htm
4. Coyote Quick Adhesive #4747 or 4147?? use clearish-yellow, not black
5. 2 part epoxy from Fabtech. Apparently comes in a tube.
6. Use a Becker Coupler and forget about bonding
7. Rapid Cure ??
8. Seigelharz Resin and Seigleharz Gel ?
