DEAR ALL,

            I AM A PROSTHETIST.RECENTLY I MADE A BELOW KNEE PROSTHESIS
FOR MY 27 YR OLD PATIENT WITH A SILICONE LINER.HE IS WALKING NICELY AND
HE IS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE IN SOCKET .ONE OF MY COLLEAGUE TOLD ME THAT
THIS IS NOT THE IDEAL PROSTHESIS FOR HIM.I SHOULD HAVE USED A TEPE FOAM
LINER INSTEAD OF SILICONE LINER AS LINERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ACTIVE
PATIENTS.MY QUESTION IS
IS IT TRUE WHAT HE IS SAYING OR HE IS JUST GIVING STATEMENT NOT BASED ON
FACTS.PLEASE ANSWER ME WITH SUPPORTED DOCUMENTS IF THERE ARE ANY.OR GIVE
ME THE LINKS FOR SUCH RESOURSES.

I SHALL GREATLY APPRECIATE.

SHABINA KHATTAK
PROSTHETIST
