Hi List members-
If you have experience with the Pacific adjustable collar please
forward your thoughts and opinions and I'll post back to the List.
Thanks, Randy McFarland, CPO, Fullerton, CA
I received one response (below) I have since fitted one patient with
the Pacific Collar and it was on a short necked lady. Some of the other
collars tend to stick out forward from the chin, but this looked and
fit very well.
Randy
Responses:
As the designer of the PAC Collar, I can report that the PAC Collar has
many advantages over other collars.
1. Two adult sizes cover 2-1/4 TO 5-1/4 because the height can be
adjusted.
2.The occipital piece is molded unlike most collars for greater comfort
and immobilization.
3. Pediatric and thoracic extended collars will be available very soon.
4. Recent tests have shown superior results over Miami J and Aspen
collars. See recent study at: Max Lerman, C.O.
