Happy Monday,
In response to Barbara Boutin's email, just a quick FYI about HPSO and
the insurance product they offer:
HPSO does not have Professional Liability specifically for O&P, but a
generic incidental PL that may or may not cover 'individual O&P
practitioners' (it is actually written for Pedorthists). They do not
cover companies, and do not cover more than one person.
Also, this program for individual clinicians is a Professional Liability
policy only. No Products Liability, no General Liability and no Property
coverage. That right there makes it inadequate for any business owner.
Again, it is a stand-alone Professional Liability policy for individuals
that need to protect themselves.
The program is for different types of clinicians who have to buy an
individual policy for themselves even when their companies have a
corporate policy (such as with DME, where nurses and RT's have to do
this).
Last but not least, it is written with CNA who used to be in the O&P
market (as well as medical in general) but withdrew six years ago and
has no interest in writing medical home care companies or O&P practices.
Hope this helps.

Happy Friday,
I am not happy with the company that we are using for practice liability
insurance.
Besides JLT services, who are people using for liability insurance,
practicing in the USA,
Thank you in advance.
