A quick report on OOPA and parity legislation.

The Oregon O&P parity bill has been drafted and we are ready to actively
seek sponsors for the bill. Contacts are being made with other major health care
organizations to enlist their support for our efforts. Hangar has expressed
their support and willingness to offer aid in any way possible. The ACA has
become active in it's support of our efforts. In short we are poised to begin
this process.

Unfortunately the organization that is going to be responsible for funding
the initiative and the labor force necessary to have this become a reality
needs your support. OOPA is once again registered in the state of OR. Minutes of
our last meeting have gone out and I am awaiting responses from Oregon
professionals to join. Please keep in mind that in the state of OR we are few and
if we truly want to accomplish things that benefit us and our clients we need
high levels of participation. I do not know how to state this strongly
enough. We have a real opportunity to advance the cause of O&P care and coverage in
the state of Oregon but we desperately need manpower.

I know that this is happening quickly. It has been less than a month since
the OOPA applications were mailed out. Unfortunately time slows for no one. The
first stated meeting for OOPA is next Sat. and we need participation. We
will be reviewing important legislation and the nature of the O&P communities
support for Parity will be decided. Be there and play a role in this effort.

If you did not get a mailing from me please contact me directly for details.

Your consideration of this important matter is greatly appreciated.
