Dear List,
Currently looking for recommended orthotists in the area of carbon fiber for
a dynamic ground response solid ankle KAFO, as well as an AFO for running
and sporting events. Also if possible a single upright double assist AFO.
I am looking into multiple AFO's for sporting events as well as dress shoes
and water activities in summary, but have come up short in the fit and
finish with past orthotists. I was involved in a traumatic motorcycle
accident resulting in the lose of the majority of muscle in my right leg. I
currently lack dorsiflex and have minimal planterflexion. I am 24 and an
ex semi pro athlete. I am located in the Ohio area but am willing to
travel in the US for those who are well experience in this area. I have
tried all of the current off the shelf AFO's, and currently have a few
double assist AFO's, however the fit and finish is not what I have been
hoping for. In summary, I have not had the best of luck so far. Thanks
everyone for taking a read. I can be reached by email at
<Email Address Redacted> Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Matt
