Here are the responses to my post about needing a silicone liner for a large AK

patient. I'm trying Ossur's liner:

*******

Velocity Labs in Orlando can make custom liners to your specs. They

feel great, last for years, and have the flow properties of TEK. Try them!

You might have to order through Freedom Innovations, though.

*******

Otto Bock Canada makes custom silicon liners. If you are interested in

talking to them, I would recommend Sandra Ramdial (she is the

prosthetist that has worked with this product), at 905.829.2080.

*******

You might consider Pro-Flex or Pro-Flex with silicone.

Distal Pin would be ruled out BUT a Suction Valve can be employed.

*******
If there isn't any commercially available, Wayne Koniuk, San Francisco
Prosthetics (415) 861-4146, has a system available for custom
Fabrication with a tutorial disk, and very reasonably priced. You may be able to
get it through Kingsley as well, (800) 824-9704. It was introduced at the
Academy meeting in Chicago last week

*********

Ossur has a mold for a 55cm (around 75 prox) liner
this is in the old 2 color or clear variety so has good elasticity if manufactured without a fabric cover.

I had a very large AK pt that was very similar to what you described, I

fit him with an alpha cushion spirit liner, 3mm xlg. I customized it

over his check socket. I fit him with a lanyard system that used Velcro

that grabbed the spirit cover. Worked very well.
