Hello colleagues,
I've recently been in a discussion where different applications methods for silicone or thermoplastic polymer (ALPS, ALpha) liners were argued. The discussion involved rolling-on a liner from when it is rolled like a doughnut vs. gliding a fabric covered liner on (similar to a gel suspension sleeve) vs. stepping into the liner with some skin lubricant (like TEC or ALPS liners). The argument seems to be that rolling a liner on draws the skin down into the liner and reduces possible discomfort from skin tension when a tacky liner is worn. The counter to that is, why would there be skin tension if lanolin, silicone or Adapt skin cream is used directly on the skin?
Is it common practice for you to use an interface cream with your liners? Has anyone seen benefits to either method of application and what are the results?
Thanks,
Markus Saufferer, C.P.(c)
