Hello eveyone,
I have tech working for me that is in a quite terrible situation. He is a BKA
with about four years wearing a prosthesis. He is extremely active and has
recenlty lost all insurance and the ability to obtain insurance. I have done as
much as I can with him and now I face a dilema. He needs liners. He wears them
out about every six months due to his active lifestyle. I can't keep giving
them away and he can't afford them anyomore. Can anyone give me any advice that
I can pass onto him. Is there any support for people like him. He uses Med
Plus Alphas W/O pins. He is young(19) and is enthused about O&P. I believe he
could be an asset to future O&P. Medicaid isn't an option and state funded
organizations have be sought ,but no posiblities in conventional methods have been
sucessful. I give him two or three months before he is on crutches. Can
anyone shed some light. I don't want hand outs for him, rather a more honorable path
is desired. I will pass on all info and I thank you all for the help.
