Minimum Job Requirements:
* ABC Certified Orthotist credentials, or other acceptable state
license, or equivalent experience.
* A minimum of 2 years fitting/applying Orthotics required
* Supervisory/Leadership skills- direct reports are Custom Brace
Builders
* Manufacturing experience a plus
* Ability to effectively motivate and coach others a must
* A Customer focus mandatory
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
* Computer literate (trainable on AutoCAD; electronic Carver
experience a plus)
* Experience with HCPCS Coding
We strongly prefer candidates with leadership skills, supervisory
experience, and verifiable examples of their effectiveness at a previous
employer.
Essential Functions:
The Orthotist will be a working supervisor that will:
* Direct and train our Customs department personnel with the
forming of custom ligament and OA knee braces.
* Answer in-house technical questions from customers as member of
our Tech Team.
* Conduct in-house product training for Customer Care and field
sales personnel on proper product application.
* Occasionally help our Marketing department with the coding
process.
* Assist in the wording and review of technical and marketing
literature.
Candidates for this position must be able to motivate, supervise, work
effectively with and get along well with others; and creatively and
effectively communicate to express him/herself. Dependability and
excellent attendance are also expected.
