Dear Listserve,
I would like to thank all the clinicians that attended our MAS Advanced
Course last week in Chicago. The course was well attended and received with
great comments coming from all of those who attended.
Also, as a reminder, we have several more standard MAS qualifying courses
scheduled for the remainder of 2006.
March 18-19 Northwestern University O&P Center, Chicago, IL - This
one is almost full, so register asap if interested
April 14-15 University of Michigan O&P, Ann Arbor, MI
June 10-11 Georgia Tech University
Two tiers of learning are offered at the seminars:
* Tier I - Hands-On - Full two-day seminar, which includes patient
evaluation with casting, modifications, and two test sockets. Attendee must
provide own patient model and his/her travel arrangements
* Tier II - Observation - Full two-day seminar that includes all course
materials, observation of patient evaluation, but no hands-on participation.
There will be 2-3 observers teamed up with each hands-on attendee who will
assist in all aspects of the casting, modifying and fitting of the test
sockets.
For those not familiar with the M.A.S. socket design, it is a revolutionary
new socket design created by Marlo Ortiz from Guadalajara, MX. To read more
about the socket design, read a recent article in the O&P Edge at:

Please contact Kelly at 800-214-6742 if you would like to attend.
