Thanks so much to: Steven Fries, Lind McLaren, Lynn Spring, Becky
Blaine, Frank Frankovitch, and Janice Wilson for their suggestions on
getting posters for a rehab center.
Original Question:
We recently received a request from a new rural rehab department. They
are looking to decorate the department with posters and pictures of
rehab patients, including amputees, who have successfully overcome their
health challenges. If you have suggestions for this type of resource, I
would appreciate it if you could please e-mail me off-list.
Suggestions:
The consensus was to contact manufacturers and order free promotional
posters.
Tips:
- Ask manufactures to roll neatly so that they arrive in good
condition.
- Use a quality framer to make posters look like artwork. If you
buy in bulk you may get a discount.
- Place posters on foam board with spray adhesive and they are on
are walls with sticky Velcro to move them around from time to time.
Some said they used pictures of actual patients back at work and play to
make a powerful impact, and whose rehab experience they could use for
teaching examples.
Thanks Again!
