2005 is rapidly drawing to and end and would like to take a moment to
request that each of us remember the profession that puts food on our
tables and a roof over our heads. Please consider supporting the
future of our profession by making a donation to the school that made
it possible for you to be where you are today. I have been doing
this for several years and I have found it to be a very gratifying thing to do.
For my fellow UW alumni you can easily donate here

I suspect that most of the other schools have similar opportunities
for online giving, but please don't let it stop you from giving if
you have to make a phone call or write out an envelope and put a stamp on it.
For those of you who attended the many schools that have closed due
to budget cuts, you most of all should understand how badly our
schools need our financial support. Let me suggest that you make
your donation to one of the new Masters degree programs in O&P. To
my knowledge there are three at this time, only EMU and GIT are
currently accepting students. Northwestern's program is still in development.

Although I have addressed the schools in the USA here I'm certain
that the schools in other nations could use the support of their
alumni as well.
Here's hoping everyone (including our schools) has a health and
prosperous 2006.
