I just saw a client for an AFO for dropfoot. He has very large (8mm
diameter most) and prominent varicose all over his leg as well as a
potential Baker's Cyst (undiagnosed but definitely something is there). He
says that the veins don't cause any problems and can be covered by the AFO
without a problem - the Baker's cyst sometimes hurts. I was wondering if
anyone has experienced problems with the AFO compressing these types of
veins.
He doesn't want to wear compression stockings and he has already had them
stripped years ago and the Dr. has advised against doing it again.
Any feedback on this is appreciated.
Thank you!
