The Assistant level is alive, but in need of your attention. We are in
the process of creating a forum for discussion regarding the viability
of the Assistant and how we can measure up to your expectations. This
is only a beginning.

Please take the time to answer two questions: 1. What is your
understanding of the scope of practice for an O&P Assistant. (as you
understand it, not what is written from NCOPE or ABC) and 2. Legally
(state licensure), economically and historically would an assistant fit
in your present practice.

Please look forward to growth, communication and measuring up to the
needs of our patients and not back to the growing pains we have had as a
profession when answering these questions. All responses will be shared
unless specifically requested to be anonymous. Thank you in advance
