OPGA will be hosting two new MAS seminars for the first half of 2006. The
first will held on January 14-15, 2006 at Cal State University Dominguez
Hills in Aliso Viejo, CA. The second will be held on March 18-19 at
Northwestern University Prosthetic Orthotic Center in Chicago, IL.
OPGA has hosted 15 seminars thus far and has trained approximately 350
clinicians in this new and innovative socket design. The seminars tend to
fill up quickly and attendance is limited, so if you are interested, please
contact OPGA right away.
Two tiers of learning will be offered at the seminars:

* Tier I - Hands-On - Full two-day seminar, which includes patient
evaluation with casting, modifications, and two test sockets. Attendee must
provide own patient model and his/her travel arrangements

* Tier II - Observation - Full two-day seminar that includes all course
materials, observation of patient evaluation, but no hands-on participation.
There will be 2 observers teamed up with each hands-on attendee who will
assist in all aspects of the casting, modifying and fitting of the test
sockets.

For those not familiar with the M.A.S. socket design, it is a revolutionary
new socket design created and patented by Marlo Ortiz from Guadalajara, MX.
