Anyone got any clues as to the most forgiving gel/silicon liner for a trans-tib with gross scarring from burns and split-skin grafts?
This has been discussed here in various forms before but I have a fifty+ plus year old gent with extensive burn and graft scars all over his residuum. He has managed very well with a pelite liner and waist band suspension for over twenty years but I would love to be able to give him the freedom of a less cumbersome suspension. I have recently tried him with a Silipos locking gel liner and he lasted a week before he felt that the shear forces were stressing his stump too much.
Any clues?
