I have a long term traumatic trans femoral amputee of mid 40's age, high
activity, with a further distal third trans humeral amputation.

Currently he is walking on an exoskeletal prosthesis with quad socket, Mauch
hydraulic unit and greissinger foot. Suspension was originally meant to be
suction, but he tells me suction is impossible on him. (I personally think
it was more likely that the socket never fitted properly). And as such, he
has always used a pelvic band and shoulder strap. I d like to try and get
away from the pelvic band. He has a good mid length amputation with good
muscle strength and good skin integrity.

After applying to upgrade him to a C-Leg, I have been asked by his funding
body to undertake a trial. Im happy to complete this, but would like to
upgrade his socket system... Any ideas? Im thinking silicone liner and pin,
or seal in liner, but dont think he will be able to put the liner on? has
anyone had any similar experiences?
