JUNE 20-22: O&P Policy Forum (9 CECs)
Washington, D.C., Grand Hyatt
Register at www.AOPAnet.org
Leading O&P organizations have announced their strong support of the
2005 O&P Policy Forum, including: American Board for Certification in
Orthotics & Prosthetics (ABC), American Academy of Orthotists &
Prosthetists (AAOP), National Association for the Advancement of
Orthotics & Prosthetics (NAAOP), and the National Commission on Orthotic
& Prosthetic Education (NCOPE). In addition to urging all O&P
professionals to attend, these organizations will be sending
representatives to participate in this critical O&P event.
Several key legislators and policy players are to speak to the
profession during the O&P Policy Forum. Herb Kuhn, director of the
Center for Medicare Management at CMS will give an insider's perspective
on topics ranging from competitive bidding to new technology in O&P.
Kuhn is actively involved in the Political Advisory and Oversight
Committee (PAOC) and in the Medicare Council on Technology and
Innovation.
Don Muse, a well-respected senior healthcare policy consultant with more
than 20 years of political experience in Washington, will provide
attendees with statistical data and other ammunition to help us defend
our fee schedule payments.
Take part in this landmark event for O&P-register for only $150 per
attendee. Register at www.AOPAnet.org or contact Heather Franklin at
(571) 431-0876, ext. 205.
