Dear List Members,
I received four responses from practitioners who have successfully billed silicone liners with preparatory prostheses. Here are three:
Thanks to those who responded.
John Brinkmann, CPO, FAAOP
I've been billing L5673 X 2 when doing locking liners with L5540. I have been paid on the last 5-6 I've done.
I have had no denials on payments for liners on prep BK in the past 2 years.
I've already retro-fit easy liners into a prep bk in order to increase limb comfort & maturation time w/in the prep (i.e.: 15 ply socks reduced to liner & 2-4 plys). I've only given one at that time and billed with a LMN/description of services, and then provide 2 new liners with the definative.
