Title:
Joint for Torticollis in a CTLSO
Text:
Dear List:
I am initiating a CTLSO for a three year old person. This child needs a
scoliosis TLSO which will incorporate a custom molded CO for tortocollis. I may
be dreaming, but I believe a joint exists which would be removable from the
TLSO that would allow adjustment of the CO to gradually correct the Torticollis.
Or at least a joint that I could use with the Fillauer ZQ Release. Another
characteristic of a dream joint would allow transverse rotation with a stop;
this would allow rotation to the neglected side while stopping rotation to the
other side. I have been looking at the Fillauer Pivot Pin joint used on the
Arm Abduction orthosis, but I am concerned with size and bulk.
If any of you have any ideas I would appreciate hearing them. Replies will
be posted.
Thank you,
Donald T. McGovern, C.P.O.
