I have a left Trans-Tibial amputee who likes to ride horses. This individual is very active and is a good prosthetic wearer and ambulator. Here is my question, due to the location of the girt strap knot on the left side of the saddle, this hits at the medial condylar area of the socket pushing the leg out so it is very difficult to get and keep the foot in the stirrup.
Has anyone ran into this situation before and what kind of modification can be done? Thank you for any information.
