After beginning his ACA career as associate editor in 2000, Bowers was

In his new position, Bowers is responsible for coordinating the writing,
editing, photography, graphic design and printing of the award-winning
bimonthly magazine inMotion and the award-winning First Step - A Guide

publications, including ACA's multicultural publication Connections,
Military inStep, Senior Step, and Expectations, a resource guide for
parents of children and teens with limb differences.
Bowers earned a Master's Degree in Mass Communications from the
University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Dupes came on board with the ACA in 2002 as an information specialist in
the National Limb Loss Information Center and was promoted to associate
editor in 2003 and to senior editor in February 2005.
The bulk of his professional experience has been in technical writing
and editing environmental studies for the Air Force. He received his
