List,
I have 2 patients (not overweight) with relatively rigid 30 degree
genu/tibial varum deformities which worsen in stance phase 5-7 degrees. One
fell has medial MTP collapse and the other a failed proximal tibial
osteotomy. They are minimally correctable. Any ideas on KAFO designs, most
importantly how to design outsets at the shoe or distal lateral footplate to
provide better weight line alignment/distribution. Simple, clean,
uncomplicated?
